Lockdown Again?
If you are in an area of the country that may be experiencing tightened COVID-19 restrictions or even a lockdown situation again, please let your local territory sales rep know if there are additional precautions you need us to take, if your property returns to a no-site-visit policy, or if there is anything we can do to help you keep your property functioning smoothly in the coming weeks.
We also invite you to revisit some of the excellent Virtual Lunch content we shared during lockdowns in the Spring.
In this lunch-time zoom call series, there were practical sessions with ideas to help Manage Maintenance During a Crisis, Manage Work Orders, and Keeping your Toolbox Healthy.
There were also encouraging discussions like Turning Crisis into Opportunity and Prioritizing Wellness in Challenging Times. We hope you may find these helpful again during these ongoing challenges and uncertainty.

Voluntary Recall: Blumen Hand Sanitizer
We have been made aware of a voluntary recall relating to a hand sanitizer in our inventory. Our supplier partner has recalled the product due to the potential presence of methanol. Ingestion or substantial methanol exposure could result in symptoms of methanol poisoning. To date, no reports of adverse events related to this recall have been made.
Customers who have purchased potentially affected products have been notified by email. Speak with your Â鶹ÊÓƵ representative or contact our Customer Service Team if you have questions. Click here for more details.

Safety Warnings Related to Hand Sanitizers
While a thorough hand washing with antibacterial soap is always your best defense against COVID-19 and other dangerous bacteria, it's a good idea to keep hand sanitizer available for quick decontamination between hand washing when you may be touching potentially infected surfaces. Keeping hand sanitizer available in your common areas serves as a good reminder for resident and visitors and can help reassure them that you are taking all the necessary precautions to keep your property safe.
We have brought in new hand sanitizer stations (see May 28 update below) as well as liquid and gel sanitizers to help meet the increased demand brought on by COVID-19. The has recently published a list of several toxic, unsafe products containing methanol. We have worked with our manufacturers to verify that none of the products we carry are on the list released by the FDA and none contain harmful, toxic substances.
We are happy to share this letter received from our vendor partners, Smart Chemical Solutions and Genesis Custom Chemical Blending regarding their testing and safety protocols.

However, that doesn’t mean that maintenance has to wait for the all-clear to get to work.
Here are 12 areas that maintenance teams can focus on right now, without putting staff in danger.

A Letter from Â鶹ÊÓƵ
Dear valued Customers and Friends,
In these uncertain times, our priority is the safety of our employees, customers, and your residents. Our teams are all-hands-on-deck working to keep your communities stocked and to assist you in conducting, if not business as usual, at least business as efficiently as possible.
We will continue to keep you up to date as we closely monitor information provided by State and Federal officials during this challenging time. As long as official guidelines allow, we will continue to operate and to conduct deliveries while taking extra precautionary measures to keep our employees and customers safe.
Delivery drivers are doing a fantastic job and have been very flexible as we have worked with many of our customers to alter our processes to accommodate changes being made on-site with many of your communities. When your delivery arrives, instead of requiring a signature, our driver will take a picture to confirm the delivery receipt for our records.
Your local sales associates, as well as our Customer Service team, are still here to serve and assist you in keeping your communities running as smoothly as possible. If you need assistance, do not hesitate to reach out to your sales rep or email us at customerservice@chadwellsupply.com. You can also use the chat feature below or call 888-341-2423.
God Bless you and your families! Stay safe, we are all in this together.

Precautions and Product Availability
At Â鶹ÊÓƵ, we share your concerns and challenges as we work to minimize the risk to your residents and employees from COVID-19 and other flu-like viruses. Like all suppliers and retailers, we have extremely low stock, or we are completely out of, many of the items that could be used to mitigate this virus. We are working to restock cleaners, masks, hand sanitizer, and related items but we cannot know for sure when they will be back in stock.
Cleaning Products Effective for Coronavirus and other Viruses
The EPA has released a list of products approved for use to combat the particular COVID-19 and other viruses. It can be found here: . The products listed have been tested by the EPA and certified for use in killing such viruses. From the EPA's list, we currently do have a limited supply of Clorox Cleanup with Bleach (#352139).
Generally speaking, bleach, peroxide-based cleaners, and even simple detergents can combat many of the germs which cause most flu viruses and can be used for cleaning surfaces in public areas of your communities, even if they are untested for COVID-19. Many of these items are also available in limited supply:
- Clorox Cleanup with Bleach (#352139)
- Liquid Bleach (#352086)
- Lysol Mold & Mildew Remover with Bleach (#352081)
- MoldStat Step 2 Mold & Mildew Disinfectant (#352195)

Recommendations from the CDC
Ultimately, following basic cleaning and hand-washing procedures and taking precautions, will help to limit the spread and severity of coronavirus, other types of flu and communicable diseases. Here are a few basic prevention tips from the CDC:
- Wash hands often with soap and water for a minimum of 20 seconds. If soap and water are unavailable, use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
- Stay home when you are sick.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue away.
- Frequently clean and disinfect touched objects and surfaces.
